MagicYard needs read access to clone the repository, and write access to push a branch and open a pull request. It never pushes to your default branch.

Prefer not to grant write access? Connect read-only and MagicYard will hand you a patch to apply yourself. You lose the pull request, not the editing.

Here's how we think it runs

MagicYard read the repository and made a proposal. Correct anything that's wrong — it takes your word over its own.

    Run once, before the dev command.

    Put {{port}} where the port belongs. We also set PORT in the environment. Run directly, with no shell.

    One per line. Stored encrypted, never shown again, never rendered back to a browser.

    Whose AI is paying?

    Yours — but capped, so a link you sent in March can't surprise you in April.

    Encrypted at rest and injected into the sandbox at boot. It is never written into your repository and never reaches your designer's browser.

    Checked before each request, not after. When it's reached, editing stops and you're told.

    A subscription won't work here, and that's the providers' rule rather than ours: their terms forbid running someone else's prompts through a personal plan. An API key is the sanctioned path — and it's the only one that can be metered per person.

    This takes a minute or two the first time, while dependencies install. After that it's seconds.
